EcoLite Chamber System

 

The EcoLite Chamber System by Pennine Manufacturing Ltd is a versatile, modular solution for underground access in water utilities and ducted networks. Manufactured from recycled polypropylene, EcoLite chambers are lightweight, chemically resistant, and capable of supporting high load ratings — from C250 up to F900, depending on size.

Key Features:

  • Available in depths of 25mm, 50mm, and 150mm
  • Interlocking rectangular rings for easy stacking
  • No concrete backfill required for most applications
  • Resistant to acids, alkalis, and chemical erosion
  • Can be installed manually without lifting equipment
  • Suitable for meter boxes, hydrant boxes, and inspection chambers

Installation Overview:

  1. Excavate to required dimensions, allowing for cover, frame, and mortar bed
  2. Pour concrete or dry mix base
  3. Lower and align chamber sections
  4. Fit access cover using mortar or grout
  5. Backfill with compacted material
  6. Finish surface up to chamber edge

EcoLite chambers have been tested by Lloyds British to BSEN 124:1994, achieving load ratings up to 96 tonnes for F900 class.
